Building On Success
2009-11-02
Local timber frame supplier to the construction industry has for a first time exhibited at a major industry event.
Following on from the successful launch of their new Sips division (Structural Insulated Panel System solutions) in March when it was awarded ‘System Supplier’ status for the TEK Building System, from Kingspan, the company has worked very hard to promote both timber frame and SIPs “Obstacle Free” structural package by securing a permanent stand at Buildstore’s National Self Build & Renovation Centre in Swindon. Encouraged by the number of enquiries they have received from this stand, Lowfield Timber Frames, an established manufacturer of high quality, bespoke timber frame kits used in the construction of new homes as well as commercial and industrial premises, took a stand at the annual 3 day Grand Design event, at the NEC in Birmingham.
Lowfield Timber Frames Ltd, which is part of the SJR Group identified that self-build is a growing market and adopted a business growth strategy to support this. SIPS expert, Garry Dyke, joined LTF earlier this year to head-up the new venture which will offer solutions to those looking to build highly energy efficient homes and buildings in line with the Communities and Local Governments ‘Code for Sustainable Homes’ scheme. Mark Phillips Managing Director at Lowfield Timber Frames said:
“Incorporating SIPS technology into our product lines is an important step for us towards providing the next generation of sustainable timber solutions. The response this year both at Buildstore and the NEC has been very positive. The leads that we generated this year have most definitely put us on the right footing for this and next year’s future growth.
He adds:
This event provides us with an excellent opportunity to meet up with our customers and develop new opportunities. And in this current climate, it is even more important that we are actively marketing in order to bring in new business.”
